For the second year in a row, MODECOR participates in the ZOW at Bad Salzuflen, through its subsidiary MODEKOR Europe, exhibiting its latest innovative development in laminates: the Scratch Resistant High Gloss Laminates and the Extremely Post-formable CPL.
MODECOR is a part of an international working business group and is known in numerous countries as a manufacturer of high quality decorative laminates with its head office and production facilities at Al Jubail Industrial City, in Saudi Arabia. In 2006 MODEKOR Europe office in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany was established to ensure that the European customers get an efficient, flexible and fast service.

The European Collection
MODEKOR facilities in Rothenburg ob der Tauber Germany, maintains in stock The European Collection consisting of 42 decors out of the total décor range of 150 decors. Depending on the quantity it is possible to supply required colors and patterns, depending on customers' requests. A modern range of decors and surface structures complying with DIN 438 is on offer.
MODECOR is ISO 9001 certified and is a member of the ICDLI (International Committee of Decorative Laminates Industry). MODECOR uses state of the art German technology equipment consisting of two continuous presses and impregnators producing excellent quality Laminates. The Resin used is also produced locally on premises. The paper and decors used are supplied by international reputable manufactures known for high quality and strict quality controls are in place during and after production to ensure that the products adhere to international standard.
Abrasion and Scratch Resistance
The abrasion and scratch resistance of high-value surfaces is a basic requirement for manufacturers of furniture surfaces, especially for the sensitive Metal and High Gloss surfaces, where the development and advancement of these characteristics is of extreme importance. Accordingly, MODECOR has accepted this challenge and in cooperation with its suppliers, MODECOR was successful in achieving important product and feature improvements. With MODECOR's new Abrasion Resistant High Gloss and Metal surfaces, MODECOR fulfills the essential resistance value for horizontal applications, like Din438 Part II.
CPL Post forming
Additionally MODECOR exhibited a new covering material with a thickness 0,16mm, which achieves the properties of finish foils and polyester materials. It can be post formable up to a radius of minimum 1.5 mm. Properties such as abrasion and scratch resistance are among the qualities of the newly introduced product, which can be used in furniture, doors, skirting boards etc, that are highly exposed to scratches.
NEW PRODUCT RANGE & NEW SHOWROOM
The most recent addition to the production range is the PARQÉ Laminate Flooring, made of 8 mm thick HDF (High Density Fibre) boards with abrasion resistance level of Class 23/31 (AC3) as well as 23/32 (AC4). PARQÉ is available in range of around 20 different colors, designs and textures, satisfying the current trends.
In parallel to the introduction of PARQÉ, a new company showroom is now open in King Abdul-Aziz Street in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The objective of the showroom is to provide to customers, specifically consumers and end-users with the best possible service in terms of color selection and installation support. The showroom is set to establish a warm “ambiance” through the fusion of PARQÉ colors and designs, together with the furnishings used. The showroom is also an inspiring stop for Specifiers, Architects and Interior Designers who can also obtain detailed information about all MODECOR products. In addition, PARQÉ is also being sold through about 26 different retail outlets across the Middle East in Dubai, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Syria and Egypt, as well as Saudi Arabia.
MODECOR EXPANSION
To focus better on the European Laminates market, MODEKOR Europe, a European company owned by MODECOR was established in Rothenburg, Germany with the objective of marketing and selling MODECOR’s Laminates and Edge Bands to European customers. The Company has its own sales and customer service organization as well as a warehouse with a stock of the MODECOR range of colors and designs. MODECOR Saudi Arabia produces and ships to MODEKOR Europe who in turn sells in the European markets. Customers in Germany, Italy, Denmark, U.K., Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands and others have already been established.
In addition, MODECOR has also established Laminates customers in Russia, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. These are serviced directly by the team in Saudi Arabia and Laminates are shipped directly to these countries.
Realizing the importance of the Egyptian market, MODECOR has also set up a branch office in Cairo to handle the inquiries and to provide support to customers in Egypt.
As part of its on-going expansion plans, MODECOR has also recently established a new warehouse in Dubai, UAE, with the objective of providing better and faster service to its customers across the UAE. The warehouse is located at the Dubai Investments Park facilities, conveniently located at an easy access point to the roads network leading to the various Emirates, namely Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah. The warehouse will store fast moving products and colors to ensure a fast response time to customer needs. MODECOR offices in Dubai are also located at the same location.
